Firetherm Fire Stopping Showcased at Firex International

Firetherm, Firex International, 21 – 23 June, ExCel London. Stand C180

Firetherm and Nullifire, two brands of tremco illbruck, were exhibited at Firex, the UK’s foremost fire safety exhibition, staged at Excel in London (21-23 June 2016). Together, they display the UK’s widest range of passive fire protection products.

Firetherm’s presence at Firex showcased the huge range of fire stopping products available from a single source, with the advantage that contractors working across London can take advantage of the company’s service – delivering products direct to site, often the next working day.

While Firetherm is renowned for the supply of fire-stopping products including batts and mastics, Nullifire’s unrivalled reputation has been established through the development of high performance intumescent coatings for the on-site and offsite protection of structural steelwork.

The importance of dependable fire-stopping solutions to prevent the spread of fire and smoke in a complex modern building structure have been vividly demonstrated in a number of major international incidents recently. Seeking the advice of industry leading manufacturers has to be the right starting place for anyone with a duty of care to fulfil.

FI025 Intuflex 45/90

To reinstate the insulation requirement where services penetrate a compartment wall or floor

Insulation-120mins

Description

FI025 Intuflex is a fire insulation upgrade material, primarily made from rock mineral fibre, with an outer layer of foil to provide a class 0 surface spread of flame around a class A1 core. The foil facing in conjunction with aluminium foil finishing tape, leaves an aesthetically pleasing finish with zero fibre migration.

FI025 Intuflex is designed to upgrade the insulation rating or uninsulated penetrated services (where required) which have been sealed using a Nullifire or Firetherm product. The application of FI025 around most services increases the “I” rating to that required by the compartment line.

FI025 has been tested around copper and steel pipes up to 160 mm diameter, cable trays, ladders and baskets, individual cables and cable bundles up to 100 mm diameter.

Benefits

  • Reinstates the insulation requirements of the compartment when applied around uninsulated service penetrations
  • Tested to EN 1366-3 with copper pipes, steel pipes, cable trays/ladders/baskets, individual cables and cable bundles
  • Easy & fast installation
  • Lightweight
  • Does not de-rate electrical cables
